FORTNA hosted an invitation-only industry event in Johannesburg, tailored to companies that need to solve distribution and fulfillment challenges in South Africa. The event took place at the new Riverfields distribution center of TFG (The Foschini Group) in Gauteng.

The FORTNA team would like to thank TFG and especially Perk Nxumalo, DC Manager, for their great hospitality and endless support!

Over 120 industry experts attended the invitation-only event to learn about innovative automation solutions for fulfillment, distribution and last mile operations.

  • Rob McKeel, CEO FORTNA, presented the unique FORTNA approach for enabling the world’s most efficient supply chains.
  • Johan Kuijs, Director Sales AutoStore, introduced the audience to “Redefining Order Fulfillment” with AutoStore. The functional demogrid on site allowed attendees a first-hand experience.
  • Marco Bellan, Director Business Development Last Mile at FORTNA, gave insights into the objectives and advantages of transforming last mile operations.

The program was rounded off by inspiring talks from two industry experts and FORTNA customers who understand the challenges and opportunities in the South African market and who presented insights to the current set-up and future initiatives of their respective fulfillment operations.
